Gum Disease

Periodontal (gum) disease is an infection of the teeth, gums and the bone that surrounds the teeth. It is the leading cause of adult tooth loss. To identify periodontal disease, we perform a comprehensive examination including x-rays and periodontal charting. If we detect periodontal disease, we will discuss your treatment options as well as proper home care to help minimize bone loss and restore the health of your gums.

Restorative Services

If your teeth are broken, worn down, cracked or damaged in any way, restorative dentistry can help you achieve the beautiful, healthy smile you want.  The goal of restorative dentistry is to improve the health and function, as well as the aesthetics of your smile.  When restorative treatment becomes necessary, it is important to us that you understand all of your treatment options. In addition to your comfort, restoring the natural look and feel of your teeth is our greatest concern. Our knowledgeable staff can answer any questions you might have regarding your treatment.

Root Canal Therapy

All teeth have varying amounts of root canals.

Many tooth problems involve infections that spread to the pulp, which is the inner chamber of the tooth containing blood vessels, nerves and other tissues. When the infection worsens, it can begin affecting the roots. A traumatic injury to a tooth can also compromise the pulp, leading to similar problems.

Pain and sensitivity are some of the first indications of a problem; but inside, a spreading infection may cause pockets of pus to develop, leading to an abscess.

Root canal therapy is a treatment with a very high rate of success, and involves removing the diseased tissue, stopping the spread of infection and restoring the healthy portion of the tooth.

Intra-Oral TV Examinations

We have TV monitors mounted in every treatment room.  Using a small camera, in a slim handpiece, we are able to see your teeth and the surfaces enlarged on the screen, helping you to see and better understand the conditions of your mouth.

Orthodontics

Today’s orthodontics involve repositioning of the teeth and underlying roots, providing better support for the crown of the tooth.

Additionally, well-aligned teeth make oral hygiene easier to maintain. At any age, orthodontics can protect your bite (occlusion), maximize your teeth's effectiveness in performing their functions and create a well-aligned smile.

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns, or caps, are tooth-shaped coverings designed to help restore strength and beauty to broken or cracked, misshapen, or misaligned teeth, which results in a stronger and more beautiful smile.

During the dental crowns procedure, portions of the natural tooth structure are removed to make room for the crown. Next, an impression of the tooth is taken, which will be used when creating the crown. A temporary crown is placed over the tooth while the impression is sent to a lab where the crown will be made. After the crown is finished, the patient will return to have the temporary crown removed and the permanent crown bonded into place.

Dental crowns can restore the appearance of a damaged or otherwise imperfect tooth, and improve the functionality of your bite. Dental crowns can also restore strength and eliminate tooth pain because they cover the entire tooth while looking completely natural.

Dental Bridges

For patients who are missing one or more of their original teeth dental bridges are an effective alternative to dental implants, and are made from strong and durable porcelain to ensure both a strong bite and a beautiful smile. Bridges are comprised of one or more artificial teeth supported by dental crowns on either end. They are fixed in place and are extremely secure, so patients will not have to worry about their teeth while talking, eating, or smiling. With proper maintenance, dental bridges can last for many years.

Implants

Dental implants are artificial tooth replacements used to counter tooth loss. People who have lost teeth might feel too self-conscious to smile or talk or have problems with chewing and eating. Regardless of the nature of problems related to tooth loss, dental implants may provide a simple remedy with proven results. Implants offer a permanent solution to tooth loss. Additionally, implants may be used in conjunction with other restorative procedures for maximum effectiveness. Strong, durable and natural in appearance, implants are among the most successful dental procedures performed.

Quality Custom Dentures

Patients who have lost some or all of their natural teeth can restore their smile with dentures.  The goal is to make the custom-crafted dentures strong, comfortable, and natural-looking. Dentures not only result in a beautiful smile, but they can also restore confidence and improve a patient's ability to speak.
